Studio City, just over the hill from the Hollywood bustle, is a quaint neighborhood with tree-lined residential streets and trendy dining. Lively Ventura Boulevard offers several classic sushi houses, plus small-plates spots and stylish gastropubs. Locals hit Wilacre Park for woodsy hiking trails with panoramic Valley views. The CBS Studio Center dates back to silent film era and gives the neighborhood its name.

Studio City Farmers Market (Every Sunday morning from 8:00AM - 2:00 PM)

The Studio City Farmers Market is held on Ventura Place, between Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Radford Ave. every Sunday. Co-owned by the Studio City Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Studio City Residents Association the Market is a non-profit with all profits after expenses going back into the community. In addition to some of the best and freshest locally grown fruits and vegetables Market vendors sell everything from flowers, baked goods, honey, olive oil, dried fruits and hand made artisanal crafts, including soaps and jewelry. Voted The Most Kid Friendly Farmers Market by Los Angeles magazine and a Parents Pick by Nickelodeons Parents Connect, the Market boasts a petting zoo, pony rides, train ride, inflatable slides, face painting and prepared foods for the whole family. The Market is open all year long rain or shine except for the Sunday between Christmas and New Years. Come to shop and stay for lunch!

Arts and Crafts Show

Put on by the ROTARY CLUB OF STUDIO CITY/SHERMAN OAKS this show has been held for the past 30 years and is a successful event for artists and art lovers alike. All the merchandise at the show is original and hand made. An estimated 5,000 visitors attend every year and numerous charity organizations benefit from the funds raised by the Rotary Club.

The show is held one weekend in May and one weekend in October at Moorpark Park in Studio City on the northeast corner of Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Moorpark St. Show Hours: 10 AM - 5 PM, Saturday & Sunday. Admission is free.

A destination spot for anyone looking for that “Main Street” feel of days gone by. Walk the quaint sidewalks and enjoy boutique shopping, or grab a coffee at the ever popular Aroma Cafe. Indulge on a scoop of gelato from Gelato Bar while taking an evening stroll, or savor a glass of wine at Vitello’s Italian Restaurant. For the hipper crowd, listen to some great music at the Jazz & Supper Club upstairs of Vitello’s. Or Girasol Restaurant around the corner on Moorpark St offers foodies a delightful taste of New American fare.

Tujunga Village

A destination spot for anyone looking for that “Main Street” feel of days gone by. Walk the quaint sidewalks and enjoy boutique shopping, or grab a coffee at the ever popular Aroma Cafe. Indulge on a scoop of gelato from Gelato Bar while taking an evening stroll, or savor a glass of wine at Vitello’s Italian Restaurant. Metro Rail

Have you been on L.A.'s underground subway yet? Take a day, park your car at any one of the metro rail stations and take a trip around town. There is the Universal City/Studio City station on Cahunega Blvd., across from Universal Studios, and the North Hollywood Station on Lankershim near the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Coldwater Canyon Park

The Park is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the year.

This 44-acre park includes seven miles of hiking trails, a tree nursery, organic gardens, a fruit orchard, educational displays and the S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre. It is also the home of Tree People, the environmental organization that cares for the park without any public funds. Over 50,000 people a year visit Coldwater Canyon Park.

Fryman Canyon

Parking lot at the intersection of Laurel Canyon Blvd and Fryman Road south of Ventura Blvd.

This popular hiking train is a 3-mile loop on Betty B. Dearing Trail passes through Wilacre Park in Lower Fryman Canyon and Coldwater Canyon Park. The loop takes you up to the mountains and through a residental neighborhood.
